These rats will infest a home’s roof and then manage to work their way through a home using wall cavities. Both household species have a great sense of smell to help them find food. They are also extremely cautious and intelligent which makes them more difficult to treat than mice. Both species also pose a threat to humans because they can spread some dangerous diseases. In addition, they will also cause extensive damages to a home because rats are notorious for chewing through almost any building material in search of resources.
